About
Hi! My name is Bob and I’m writing this blog to share the information that I’ve discovered over the past 8 years of researching anxiety and panic attacks.
I’m not a medical professional or someone that works in the medical field with mental illness. I am simply a guy that discovered about 10 years ago that my life was changing in a very significant way, in a way that I didn’t like.
Initially I tried getting help with my problem from medical professionals but I never had the sense that they really had a real understanding of what I was going through because they never experienced it themselves. This didn’t make them bad people but I felt there was a disconnect.
I realized that if I was ever going to get better, get back to the person that I was, I would have to take care of myself. That started over eight years of researching and learning all I could about anxiety disorders and I’m still learning. I’m not “cured” but I’m getting there, at least now I’m in control and I can do some of those things that I haven’t been able to do. And, I haven’t had a full blown panic attack in quite a while.
This site is being set up to share what I’ve learned along the way. In it you’ll find articles relevant to our conditions and in “Anxiety In The News” I’ll post links to news pieces that I think you’ll find interesting and useful – remember to come back after reading the news pieces, you’ll want to be sure you have read our latest article. I will make this site one of your main resources in your battle against anxiety disorders. So add us to your favorites and return often for the latest article or news and by all means leave your comments, let us know what you’re doing to cope with your anxiety.
And finally, in the interest of fairness and disclosure, from time to time I will have some advertising on the site. If you buy something from one of these ads I will probably receive a commission.
